What is speed puzzling?

Teams of 4 will race to complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle as quickly as they can! Every team will be solving the same puzzle.

Prizes will be given to top winners!

We will be offering 3 divisions at our contest: beginner, advanced, and family.

Advanced Division: For teams who can put together a 500-piece in under 60 minutes and have regularly competed together.

Beginner Division: For teams that take 1-2 hours to do a 500-piece puzzle or this is their first event.

Family Division: Will allow more than 4 members and be an un-timed division. This division will not be eligible for placement prizes. For this division we will have special prizes for kids and door prizes that you will be eligible for.

In all divisions, the puzzles will be your teams to keep!

Event Vibe

Seating will be primarily cafeteria-style tables with attached chairs. Beginner and Advanced teams will share 10ft tables so each team has half the table that has a division line. If you need an alternative seating situation please do not hesitate to reach out and we will reserve an appropriate seating for you. We do have a few tables that will allow standing if that is preferred. Our goal is for our event to be inclusive. We ask that if at any time before the event or at the event that you need assistance, support, or an adaptation you reach out to us! Before the event, we can be contacted at familyconnectionspto@gmail.com . We will have flexible seating available, a sensory space, and other things in place to help support community members.

Check-in will take place starting at 5 PM. You will want to enter Century Middle School via the “bus drive” which faces 185th ST by the Tennis Courts. If you need accessible parking there will be access also from the main entrance, you would just need to proceed to the commons area. At 5:45 PM we will be kicking off our event with some fun announcements and speed puzzling will begin shortly after 6 PM! We are aiming for this to be a fun, community-building event! The event will wrap up at 8 PM. Love puzzling so much you have an entire closet full of puzzles? We will have a puzzle swap table where you can exchange puzzles during the event! We do ask that puzzles are in good condition and complete for swapping!  Contact familyconnectionspto@gmail.com for any event questions.
